Sign up NOW to join us for a round of golf Saturday, May 5 at the beautiful Quail Valley Golf Course in Missouri City. The golf tournament benefits the OU Club of Houston and Daryl Hunt Memorial scholarship fund. Several team and individual prizes will be given away. There will be silent and live auctions for Sooner memorabilia and other prized items. A box lunch and fajita bar dinner will also be available.

Come enjoy the camaraderie and a bit of competition as we have fun and raise funds for a great cause!

About the OU Club of Houston Scholarships
Since 1965, the OU Club of Houston has awarded scholarships to outstanding Houston-area students who will be attending the University of Oklahoma. In 2001, the OU Club added the Robert and Jerry Simmer Memorial Scholarship in memory of Robert W. Simmer, a graduate of the OU Law School and longtime supporter of the University.

In 2011, the Daryl Hunt Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of University of Oklahoma Sooner great Daryl Hunt. Daryl is considered one of the best OU football players of the Barry Switzer era. He played linebacker for the Sooners and remains the OU career record-holder for tackles, 530. He had three of the best single season tackle totals (157 in 1978, 159 in 1977 and 177 in 1976). He earned All-Big Eight status three times and was selected as an All-American in 1977 and 1978. Daryl played linebacker for six seasons for the Houston Oilers, playing in 78 regular season games.

About Quail Valley Golf Course
The Quail Valley Golf Course is best known for the 1973 and 1974 hosting of the Houston Open, a golf tournament on the Professional Golf Association Tour. It continues to host numerous local and regional tournaments. Located in the first master planned community in Fort Bend County, it first opened under private ownership and management in 1970. It is in the geographic center of Missouri City and lies in 400 acres of green space with rolling terrain.

The Quail Valley Golf Course is owned by the City of Missouri City, which opened the 18-hole La Quinta on July 4, 2008. The other 18-hole golf course, El Dorado, was redesigned by Jeff Blume and was rebuilt by Heritage Links. Its original design was by Jack Miller and first opened in 1970. Both of the golf courses make up about 250 acres of the green space property.
